Thank You for All your Help in 2020 and Looking Forward to 2021

Congratulations! We have worked on over 30 projects this past year!  We could not have had this much success without your efforts and dedication!

Thank you everyone for all the indexing and reviewing you have completed in 2020.  The data you provide is invaluable and has and will continue to aid others in researching for the future.  Many individuals have reached out thanking you for your efforts.  They have already found success in finding individuals from the past.

To start the new year, we are introducing a new USHMM project.

USHMM – Jewish Families in Rhodes

This collection contains Registration Cards for Jewish families in Rhodes from 1939.  Names will be keyed from the registration cards along with associated information.  Most of the records are in Italian.

The USHMM (United States Holocaust Memorial Museum) is the United States’ official memorial to the Holocaust.  The USHMM provides for the documentation, study, and interpretation of Holocaust history.  It is dedicated to “helping leaders and citizens of the world confront hatred, prevent genocide, promote human dignity, and strengthen democracy.”

All instructions and sample images are found in this article.  Questions and other comments can be posted on the message board.

We are continuing to work out some bugs in the tool and should have some updates in the next month or two.  Thank you for your patience as these updates continue.

And of course, you can always reach out to us at worldarchivesproject@ancestry.com.

Happy Indexing!
