New Support Email Address

We have two new items that I wanted to make sure everyone knows about.  In order of importance…

We now have a new email address to contact our support team, worldarchivessupport@ancestry.com.  This email address and the Provide Feedback link (look for changes coming to this link and page in the future) will both reach our support team.  We do respond to every email and we hope to have a response back to you within 1-2 days but most often it is within 24 hours.

We also have a new Getting Started Guide.  The Getting Started guide includes general information about the project and the keying tool, as well as tips and tricks for taking advantage of everything the keying tool has to offer.  And we are also looking forward to bringing you a new tutorial in the very near future.  *Both the Guide and the Tutorial are relatively large files so it may take a while to download them.

If you have feedback or questions regarding the keying tool, projects or support please send us a note to worldarchivessupport@ancestry.com.

I love it! Actually used the support team not too long ago and they answered my questions very well. This new address will be well used and a wonderful thing.

Exciting – I find this site hard to navigate. Once I have gone somewhere and made a comment or see something I want to come back to, I can’t find my way back the next day.

I have a specific question – when I work on the computer at work, I am not allowed to download new or revised programs. The regular Ancestry.com site where I surf looking for census and vitals information gives me a pop-up every time a new page comes up saying I need to update. It is irritating, especially since there is not a thing I can do to update. How can I stop this?

Anna

Is the new support e-mail OK – I have sent two requests to the new address in the last few days and in both cases my e-mail has bounced back with the error
“:
Sorry, I wasn’t able to establish an SMTP connection”

All I want to know is, will the Keying tool work with Windows 7 64 bit operating system?

Thanks

Bob
