From one side of the world to the other

Our new projects today are the Arizona, Select School Census Records (Part 2) and Medway, Kent, England, Poor Law Union Records, 1901-1930.  (Technically they are only about a quarter of the world apart.)

The Arizona, Select School Census Records (Part 2) records will appear familiar as we just recently completed “part 1.”  These records provide details regarding students and often their parents for various counties across Arizona.  The project is relatively simple but based on handwriting difficulty it is categorized as an Average project.  If you have questions or feedback please post them on the Discussion page or the U.S. Records – Other message board.

And the Medway, Kent, England, Poor Law Union Records, 1901-1930 records are similar to the prior Medway Poor Law records but is definitely its own project.  For this project there are 4 keyed form types – you will see Birth, Death and Miscellaneous records among the Admission and Discharge records.  They are handwritten on printed forms – based on the number of form types and handwriting difficulty this is an Advanced project. (We base difficulty based on contributors with limited experience – many of you have been keying for years so based on experience this will not seem too difficult.)  If you have questions please post them on the Discussion page or the UK Records message board.

Happy indexing!

I downloaded Arizona select school census records, and “Delinquent tax roll of Yavapai County” came up. Do I index this, and if so, what form type do I use? Thank you! Indexing is lots of fun! Mary

Mary,
No, these records should not be keyed.
Thanks for asking, and for all you contribute!

Thank you for your quick answer! It is appreciated.

When reviewing, if an entry has “Blank” in every single spot where there is no information needed should we delete it or just leave the word “Blank” there?

Bev, just leave them, they’re just annoying.
