Weekend Challenge

Currently we have 5 projects that are 75% or more complete, NSW, Government Gazzettes, Chicago and Northwestern Railroad Records, Savannah Licenses and Bonds, West Yorkshire Quarter Session Orders and UK, Police Gazettes .  In order to spur these projects toward completion we will have a challenge this weekend, August 22 & 23.  The Top Keyer and Reviewer will win their choice of FTM software, DNA test or a 3 month World subscription.  We will also have a drawing for 2 t-shirts with all contributors to the projects who complete 25 or more image sets being entered.

Happy indexing!

I’d love to enter the competition. One of these projects is one of my favorites. Unfortunately, my keying tool doesn’t work anymore.

Stanton,
I’m sorry. I’ve still been testing and haven’t had any issues. Are you running the download as the administrator?

Pretty amazing weekend! We completed 20,000+ more records than last weekend and although Kansas lead the way both NSW, Government Gazettes and Chicago and Northwestern Railroad Records were also above 20,000 records.

Congratulations to our winners,

Top Keyer: Kathie G
Top Reviewer: Kerrie Z

Drawing winners will be announced later today. Thank you to all who contribute and especially those who participated this weekend!

I like this idea, for keying to win stuff. But I would love to get one of the shirts. How can I get one do they sell them.
Thanks

Keyed the last 36 Chicago and Northwestern Railroad records last night. These were my favorites second to the Niagara Falls Honeymoon records.

Hi I was wondering in the project of New Zealand Goverment Gazettes. You dont say how to key indexes. If its a list of names in alphabetical order, would it be a Gazette Page with Names, or considered a Cover Page, Etc. I realize that Indexes are names but there are no dates or info associated with the page, only an alphabetized index (and about 200 of them!). Thank you for your prompt reply as this is the last entry to submit and I cannot do anymore keyeing until I am sure what to do. 🙂 thanks

I am researching the northeastern railroad of Georgia. Started in the 1870,s.Parent company of the Tallulah Falls Railroad. Colonel Rufus Lafayette Moss Sr. Was the treasure and Superintendent of the northeastern railroad and the Tallulah Falls Railroad. The railroad was started in Athens Georgia in 1870. Ended in Tallulah Falls Georgia 1882. Can anyone help me find out more about the details?
