Illinois, Chicago and North Western Railroad, 1935-1970 (Part 2)

Our new project this week is the Illinois, Chicago and North Western Railroad, 1935-1970 (Part 2).  This project is similar to the first Illinois Railroad collection but is a little larger. Each image is a card for an employee of the C & NW Railroad which is their application for a Social Security number.  The records are both typed and handwritten.  If you have any questions as you are keying/reviewing please post a message on the Discussion page or on the U.S. Records- Other message board.

If I put a y or an in the social security box it comes up as an error and I have to check as seen to proceed.

Hi Folks! Just discovered this and thought Id give it a try. Not familiar with the format but I can learn. Problem is I entered the given name, surname, and when i enter address I have to click on the word “more” that drops down…get a separate box to type in…but after I add the address and click return to apply it the program crashes. Am I doing something to cause this? Left out all dashes, comma’s etc…but still crashed. I’m on a Mac using Yosemite operating system if that makes a difference.

Please email me with your answers…Thank You.

The social security box is working okay today.
