New Projects!
We have two new projects today – York, Yorkshire, England, St. Michael le Belfrey Parish Register, 1565-1653 and Caernarfonshire, Wales, Lleyn and Eifionydd Church Registers and Gravestone Inscriptions. Both projects are small UK collections with fewer than 200 image sets.
York, Yorkshire, England, St. Michael le Belfrey Parish Register, 1565-1653 contains Parish records with a variety of event types. There is some interesting spelling of words but the records are easily deciphered. For the Event Day field there is a dictionary with Latin and Roman numerals to use. If you have questions or comments, or find cool records post them on the Discussion page.
Caernarfonshire, Wales, Lleyn and Eifionydd Church Registers and Gravestone Inscriptions has records in English, Welsh and Latin. I used a translator program for the Welsh records I keyed and then could determine many of the fields (there are 27 possible fields to key depending on the records you encounter) after seeing the same words repeated. If you are up for a small challenge this is the project for you. If you have questions or comments regarding this collection post them on the Discussion page.
Happy keying!
