It’s Wednesday…so we have new projects!
Due to the difficulties we had earlier this month we went through a drought. We are catching up by releasing three new projects!
New South Wales, Australia, Industrial School Registers, 1867-1925 is a collection of admission, discharge, apprenticeship and general correspondence records for girls who attended the Industrial school. I have to admit getting a little lost in the details of the records and trying to understand a little of the lives of these girls who could have ended up in the school because they were court ordered or due to the death of their parents. We are keying the admission and discharge records.
Lübeck, Germany, Citizenship Register, 1591-1919 is a German project – these records contain information for individuals who were awarded citizenship in the city of Lübeck. Due to the span of years this project covers there is a lot of variance between what the records look like to I suggest reviewing the Keying samples and Additional Images to familiarize yourselves with the language used, the handwriting and to familiarize yourself with where the information we are keying is located.
U.S., Returns of Killed and Wounded in Battles, 1790-1848 is an accounting of soldiers who were wounded or killed between 1790 and 1848. As per typical of military records from this time period the images are not always the best quality and the handwriting is a fun challenge.
If you have questions please post them to the Discussion pages for each project – these are located on the wiki articles which can be accessed through the Help menu then View More About This Project or go to the main wiki page and click on the project title – or on the New Project Q & A message board.
Happy keying!
I don’t see the new projects?
