It’s Wednesday and we have 2 new projects!

Both projects, 1864 Census for Re-Organizing the Georgia Militia and Kentucky, Tax Lists, 1800 are smaller projects that are part of our efforts to bring more accurate indexes online.   They are typed, so easy to read, and are relatively name dense.  Grab yourself a few image sets to key over the next day or so when you need a break from the tougher projects.

So glad to see something from Kentucky. I have 7 families who spent time here.

I cannot seem to download the Kentucky tax list!

@julie, All available sets have already been checked out.

(Its a very small project)

I downloaded the 1864 census project, and the pages show only names with what looks like page numbers following each name, with no age or birth location. Do I just index the names and put “blank” in each age and birth location section? Am I supposed to put the page numbers somewhere? Thanks for your help! I really enjoy doing indexing!

@mary

That is an index page, we are not keyin those. Please mark as “cover page, section header, etc”

Hi, paulmd!
You are always a big help! Thanks again!

Test post to see if the blogs are really back.

I, for one, am glad to see the blogs back in operation!
