Did you survive the Holidays?

I took a road trip this year and I can’t tell you how nice it was to have review image sets there to keep me distracted for at least a few hours of the trip from Utah to California.  (We drove through the night so it also kept me awake.  And now my review numbers are up but my keying is sorely lacking.)

I hope you had a wonderful past week spending time with family and enjoying the holidays.  We had a family gathering with 13 great grand children in attendance so there were 4 generations together in one room – what a blessing.  And what fun it was to see hear the variety of conversations, as you listen to toddlers, teenagers, and those of us a little older than that.  We also took some time to reflect on our gratitude for our ancestors who paved the way for us to be where we are today. For me the holidays are a time to spend time with family and we did just that!

If you are like me and you are now enjoying the peace after the holidays and are looking for something to keep you busy here is a challenge for you.  …  Whether you prefer keying, reviewing or arbitrating this is a chance to end the year with a bang!  Starting tomorrow, Thursday, December 29 and going through midnight on the 31st we’ll have an End of Year Challenge.  Top keyers, arbitrators and Reviewers will win a variety of prizes and the overall top contributor will win a one year World Explorer subscription.

Thank you for your contributions!

I hope you meant, “tomorrow, Thursday, December 29 ” rather than January. I know how holidays can make your head spin.

Stan – I am just anxious for the new year to start. 🙂 Thanks for catching that. (I read over the posts multiple times and something obvious inevitably passes me by…)

Sounds awesome! I’ll contribute what I can. Depends on how tired my fingers are after work. Might not be a top producer, but good luck to all of you who can make those numbers!

If I poop out, I’ll probably be at a bar, waiting for the ball to drop. 🙂

Is a keyer who has placed and been rewarded in a previous challege eligible to compete again?

Stan,
All contributors are eligible to win.

Currently we’ve contributed almost 250,000 records! What a good end to 2011.

Thanks to everyone and look for the winners tomorrow.

Gee, I wish I would have read the end of your post, because I didn’t know there was a challenge until it was too late.

I worked. Maybe in 2012 I can participate! I hope everyone had fun, and congrats to the winner.

Where can I find the winners please?
