Did You Get It?

Every other month we send out the Ancestry World Archives Project Newsletter. It is typically sent out the last week of the month. The July edition was sent out a couple of days ago via email. Did you get it?

If you didn’t get this month’s newsletter, here are links to two of the articles that you missed:

Keying Can Be A Team Sport
My World Memory Project Experience by Liz Stevenson

We also include helpful tips and tricks to make your keying experience easier and more effective.

If you would like to receive the newsletter in the future, delivered directly to your email box go to Ancestry.com and make sure you are logged in (use your Keying Tool login if you are not an Ancestry.com subscriber). In the top right hand corner, click on My Account. Then click on Email Settings. Check the box that says Ancestry World Archives Project Newsletter. Then scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Update Preferences.

Note: If this box was already checked and you have NOT received the newsletter, click My Account and on the right hand side of the page click on “Update your email address.” Verify that we have the correct email address on file for you.

We hope you enjoy the newsletter. If there is anything specific you would like us to address in future editions, please let us know.

Until next time – Happy Keying!

I haven’t received anything from Ancestry in months and months. I’ve double-checked that I’m still signed up and that you have the right email. So what could be wrong??

So we have to go to ancestry.com, not the UK version or any other, to sign up? Even though when I put that address in the browser, it wants to automatically forward me to ancestry.co.uk? Could the option be put on the other Ancestry sites?

I agree with both Gretchen & John Howes.

Same here. Member of ancestry.co.uk. No link under email menu there on My Account. No link via WAP dashboard either that I can see. I receive normal ancestry emails with no problem.

Same here, Gretchen. All of my settings are correct (and have been) but no newsletter.

For those of you who connect to Ancestry via Ancestry.co.uk or any of our other international sites – you can go to Ancestry.com by scrolling to the very bottom of the page. On the right hand side you will see the name of the website you are on. Click on that and select United States.

Now scroll back up to the top of the page and click on My Account and check your Email Settings. (These are administered by country and are slightly different.) You should now see an option to select the AWAP newsletter.

You can switch back to your country version of Ancestry via the link at the bottom of the page.

Thanks! (And sorry for the confusion.)

Ditto Gretchen and Dayuh. All of my settings are correct but no newsletter here either.

I did not get news letter anytime.

Hi all,
You can read the full newsletter here, http://learn.ancestry.com/LearnMore/Article.aspx?id=16236. There is a slight formatting issue so the right hand side is cut off a little – I’m still working on that.

Also, if you are having difficulties checking to see if you are signed up for the newsletter you can send a note to our support team, worldarchivessupport@ancestry.com.

Happy reading!
