Photo was taken at Charter Lake, near Grand Saline, Texas. Era and Archibald are the parents of Peggy Allen Smith, my father’s (Cordell A. Smith) parents.

  1. I know how dangerous it can be to tackle a “Live Alligator.” As the mouth is not secured or tied, it appears tht this is not yer a dead alligator. Still, it took courage to even get around one and that show itself in the photo to me. A good subject for remembrance ot passing on in “fireside tales” to future generations.
