  1. The picture from Goettingen really interests me. My grandfather (born in 1892) moved to Goettingen as a little boy and my father was born there in 1932. Their family name was Schulze. What’s also interesting is that the photographer’s name Leistner was my grandmother’s maiden name before she married my grandfather. Thanks for sharing this picture. Maybe our grandparents were friends?

  2. I found this photo quite interesting—the girls bear a strong resemblance to pictures of myself and pictures of my grandmother and her sister. In working on my family history I have discovered we have a strong German ancestry much to my surprise.

  4. I enjoyed the picture of the boys from Lucky Strike, CA (standing on their heads)
    My grandmother and step grandfather also homestead and lived in Lucky Strike, CA.
    Name were John and Nellie Wilford.

  5. My father was born in Lucky Strike Alberta, Canada in 1914.
    I am trying to find where Lucky Strike was or is.

  6. my great-grandma in wold war two was hidding her jewish friends in there house. thankfuly they were not found or i wouldnt be here. i love her for being so strong and a good friend. she is a great woman.
