I’m sorry this week was a little slow on the blog, but today as I was going through some emails I found these pictures that I received from the Jamestown 400th anniversary celebration last weekend and thought I’d share them with you. Click on the images to enlarge them.
For those of you interested in learning more about Jamestown, the Ancestry Store has a collection of books on sale. Click here to browse. (Sale only runs through May.)
I’ve been a subscriber for a long time, and enjoy the blog as well as all the new information Ancestry posts to its collection. However, I’m very distracted by all the rolling advertisements (not internet pop-ups, the items that appear on the home page). Your membership is not cheap — do you really need that much advertising income? They aren’t even relevant — ads for cars? Will this continue?
I agree. I was disappointed that I was distracted by the rolling advertisements and wondered why you succumbed to that since we pay a membership. It is especially distracting when we are trying to get used to the new format for family trees etc.
I agree with the above comments re: being distracted by rolling advertisements. After paying a relatively substantial amount of money to access the website, it doesn’t seem right to have to endure distracting advertisements.
I do not receive the rolling advertisements. I have AT&T service.
I have Comcast as my provider and I do not have any rolling advertising as well. Could it be your internet provider and not ancestry?
