2020 FGS Family History Conference Now Virtual
Ancestry® is a family and a community, even when we’re not together – which is why we are continuing to share resources and new ways for people to make family history discoveries from home.
As a long-term partner of the Federation of Genealogical Societies (FGS) and a sponsor of the annual FGS Family History Conference, we will be participating in the now all-virtual event, starting with FGS Live! on September 2, 2020, and continuing with on-demand lectures available starting September 15, 2020.
“We are so excited to offer the 2020 FGS Family History Conference in a safe, fun and virtual environment.”, said Faye Stallings, FGS President. “This will be the last FGS Conference before our merger with the National Genealogical Society, and we can’t thank Ancestry® enough for being a sponsor, partner and supporter over the years. We appreciate all they do to enable the genealogical community in our pursuit of ancestral research. And for this conference we especially appreciate their sharing of their talented staff to expand our research know-how.”
The virtual conference will include the latest genealogy news in presentations, with some sessions hosted by experts from Ancestry. The livestream sessions will be followed by a brief moderated Q&A to allow attendees to learn even more from Ancestry experts. Beginning on September 15, registered attendees will also be able to stream their additional webinars on-demand, along with the featured presentations from the FGS Live! event.
