Who Do You Think You Are? Live will soon be upon us (22nd – 24thFebruary) and as always, there are lots of exciting and interesting things to see and do this year, so we wanted to let you know what we’ve got happening at the show then you can plan you day. So, grab your candy floss and toffee apples and get ready for the show.
Preserve all those old photos for posterity – make sure you remember to bring your old photographs and documents as we will have our professional imaging equipment at the show; we’ll scan them and give you the high quality digital images on a free USB stick. You can then attach them to your family history software or online tree, email copies to family members or just keep them safe on your computer.
We’ll have sign up discounts available at the show plus renewal discounts for members (virtually worth making the trip for alone!), plus instead of hoopla we have goody bags for members from the Members’ Lounge. We’ll also have our Ancestry Shop, where you can find out about Family Tree Maker and our special discount offer.
Also on the main stand we’ll have a special area for talks and advice sessions from some of our partners (see below for timetable), there’s a variety of speakers from archivists from West Yorkshire and LMA to the curator of The Foundling Museum in London, as well as TNA specialists running talks and advice sessions.
We’ll also have some of our product team available for 1 to 1 sessions (book these on the day) for any individual site queries or feedback. There’s also a team on the main stand to help with research and record queries and to help you to get the best out of the site.
This year Tony Robinson will be at the show on Friday and Saturday, members can come and meet him in our Members’ Lounge on Saturday afternoon or you could come along and listen to one of his talks on family and social history in the Ancestry Academy on Friday or Saturday. Find out the times of Tony’s sessions and more detail on the other talks in the Ancestry Academy here or below.
So come along and and see all the sites of the show and jump on the Ancestry.co.uk merry-go-round; we’re all really looking forward to seeing you there!
