Dear Annabel – ancestry has been such a big help to me since I became a so-called “silver surfer”! – I found out from the 1881 census that Louis De Boer born in 1837/38 was born in Hanover, Germany. Margaretta De Boer was my maternal grandmother. However in 1901 their name was changed to Webb which remained until grandmother Margaretta became Baldwin when she married Alfred Baldwin. How would I go about finding information on Louis before he came to London? I would appreciate any advices you might be able to give me. Stay Beautiful. Irenex
