I too enjoyed the Jamaica aspect of Seb Coe's ancestry as I also have a relative who was in Jamaica at that time. Mine was not a plantation owner but an attorney who became"one of the Judges of His Majesty's Supreme Court in Jamaica". I would love to turn up as Seb did with all the research done and all references found and able to put it all into context.

yes, it was interesting but oh so tedious! I have watched every episode and this is one of two that I struggled to watch. And it seems all my friends agreed. Seb didn't really show any spark of emotion, perhaps that didn't help, left me cold and bored.

I also enjoyed the programme very much. For me, it showed a new and entirely different persona of ‘Seb’ to the one we are used to. Do wish though that he would do another tracing his roots back to India as I woild like to see if his ancestors & mine ever encountered each other.

I enjoyed it too Annabel. I myself can trace my family back to the Slave trade in South Africa. However I never quite made it to the Olympics or have contributed much to the 2012 event. I could probably beat Seb at an arm wrestle though...
