Postcard Posers – August

Posted by Kelly on 12 August 2011 in General, Postcard Poser, Record Collections

Can you guess the location of this month’s postcard poser?  I think this one could be guessed in record time!

For those who are new to this feature on our blog, every month we share a postcard-style photo taken somewhere in the UK. It could be a particular property, a famous landmark, or just a view of the town centre. All you have to do is tell us where the photo was taken in the comments section below.

Thats George Square in Glasgow – not changed much over the years except for the amount of trafic around it.

Yes I agree: George Square, Glasgow! I think this is the statue of Walter Scott in front of Glasgow City Hall. Never been to Glasgow, as I live in Germany but a keen researcher and love old photos! :o )

We’ll have to try something a bit harder next month :)

George Square, Glasgow with its Walter Scott column. It still looks pretty much the same – apart from the tram! If you could see it like this because of all the traffic, that is.

Amazing, yet again, six people get it correct, AFTER THE ANSWER WAS GIVEN!!!
Once the answer has been announced why not just close the topic to further postings?

Those who think it was Trafalgar Square in London should really get out more!
