Can you guess the location of this month’s postcard poser? Hint: there’s a train station on the right side of the image but we’ve removed the name for obvious reasons!

I think this is Sutton, Surrey.
Top end of Putney High Street. SW15 Looking down the high street towards Putney Bridge. Putney South Western Railway Station is on the Right.

I think its Tooting Junction Station, going towards Amen Corner, Tooting.
I cheated and looked at Putney station on google maps. Its just as it was in the day the photo was taken.

Didn’t have a clue as I have never been any where near Putney, but 100% sure it wasn’t York where I live. Thanks for setting the puzzle.
In the early 1970s, back in my student days, I lived in Putney. The shop to the left of the station (Taylor’s) was then a men’s clothes shop and I used to buy my two-tone flared jeans there. Purple above the knees, green below! Sad but true!
