Comedian, actor, and banjo picker extraordinaire Steve Martin started clowning around early in life.
Take a look at these shots from his high school yearbook.
Martin was president of Jason’s Jesters, a club that put on talent shows for their fellow Argonauts at Garden Grove High School.
He also got plenty of chances to get wild and crazy as a yell leader. Martin was apparently just dusting off some of his old high school moves 15 years later when he performed “King Tut” on Saturday Night Live.
The job came with its own megaphone, complete with a caricature.
He took the stage as part of the cast of Ten Little Indians.
And again in the roll of a henpecked Tarzan as a candidate for coed king.
He won and looks to be completely in his element presiding over the Mardi Gras dance. (Wonder what he’s singing?)
