  1. I hate the new search on ancestry everytime I hit on the US map a state to see what is listed it now goes to the card catalog, if i wanted to use the card catalog i would have selected that. I think this makes the search for individual state records more difficult. Thanks

  2. I agree! I used to do individual “State” searches as they were more specific to that State. Some States had Census Records different from the U.S. Census. Now, I find it takes much more time to search out the differences in the Card Catalog. Feels like two steps forward and one back!

  3. I agree, the new search is too slow and confusing. I too, liked to do the individual “State” searches and I can’t find that site at all. I prefer the old search.

  4. I agree with the others. Definitely not as easy to navigate and harder to zero in on a name that you only have partial info on. Very frustrating!

  5. For the love of God and all things Holy what in the heck is sooooo slow about your website? When I want the ‘tree’ view it takes 20 minutes or not at all; and I have a super-fast computer, one of the best. My God this site is soooo
    frustrating.

  6. I have to agree with the others, this “new search” is giving me information that I am not asking for. When I want information for the state of California, I don’t want data for the other 49 states! I just want what is available for the state I am looking for.

  7. Was there a problem with the old search methods. Change for only change serves no purpose. Stick with the tried and proved

  8. I absolutely hate the new Ancestry website. Why in the world did they change it. Do they actually believe this is better! I’m really thinking of not renewing my subcription this year. It now takes me soooooo long to research.
