First World Archives Project Rolls Live: Wisconsin Mortality Schedules

World Archives.jpgLast week I posted an update on the World Archives Project, and in it I alluded to the fact that we would be seeing some collections “in the near future.” Well folks, the future is today! Last night Ancestry rolled a collection of Wisconsin Mortality Schedules–an addition to the existing Mortality Schedules database, U.S. Federal Census Mortality Schedules, 1850-1880.

The indexes created by the World Archives Project are free to everyone and images are available to Ancestry Members and will soon be available for active contributors (those who key more than 900 records per quarter). (Click here for more information on the project.)

Thanks to everyone who contributed to this project! You are helping us to preserve history–one record at a time. What a great way to pay it forward!
