  1. Hello David,

That is such a beautiful picture of your great-uncle and his bride. I’m wondering if you and your great-uncle are descendants of my ancestor Samuel Chapin of Springfield, Massachusetts? If so, I guess that makes us distant relatives.

I’d appreciate it if you could let me know.

    Regards,

  2. I was delighted to see David Chapin’s Photograph, listing St. Adalbert’s Church as the site of the family wedding. St. Adalbert’s was a Polish Parish in St. Paul, Minnesota. I grew up in the parish, attended eight years of grade school there, as did my six siblings and some of their children. The Church is very beautiful and was the site for many of my family’s weddings, baptisms and funerals. The Church still exists and is still beautiful. I know it has an extensive Hmong outreach in the old grade school and the grade school records are still kept in the school. Thanks for a trip down memory lane.

  3. At first glance, the bride looked like my mother in her wedding gown. The gowns are very similar. My parents were married in June 1938, but in Kenmore, NY
