This is a picture of my father, Lloyd Lowe, and his sister, Thelma Lowe, taken about 1918.

In this picture back row from left to right: my mother, Thelma Sims Parker, my uncle Jasper A. “Jake” Sims, my little uncle that I never knew, Charles “Jack” Sims, my aunts, Kathleen Sims Kuntz (the baby in the chair) and Grace Sims Riales. The picture was taken in 1914. While the family was hard-working and not at all wealthy, they managed to have several pictures made by a professional photographer.
The photo of the two Lowe chidren: I just love their facial expressions! They both seem to have such personality.
These pictures of the Lowe’s children & the Sims Children are so adorable and well preserved photos.
The Lowe’s children are ready for some fun such beautiful smiles.
The seriousness of the girls of the Sim’s photo is so cute too.
Such a breath of fresh air to see in those era’s of 1914 & 1918 that those children were able to be happy & looked liked they had fun then, just being children.

The picture of the Lowe children is the cutest I have ever seen from that era as it seemed most of the others from that time are so serious looking as if the children and even adults were told to”just stand still”. It is so appropriate that they are dressed for the time period.
I LOVE PHOTOS OF CHILDREN AND THESE ARE SO VERY BEAUTIFUL , I WAS CURIOUS ABOUT THE SIMS GROUP WERE THEY FROM INDIANA BY ANY CHANCE OR POSSIBLY THEIR FATHER ? I HAVE A PHOTO OF MY GREAT UNCLE WITH TWO OF HIS FRIENDS FROM THE EARLY 1900’S THAT RESEMBLE THE OLDER BOY? LOVELY PHOTOS
I love the picture of both groups. I think both pictures are priceless. I proudly display all of my own grandparents’ & parents’ pictures that were taken about the same time as these two pictures. Thanks for sharing ’em.
The picture of the Lowe children in their costumes are a real WW I pictures. And they look like they are ready for any thing.
The pictures of the Sims children is so cute and I love the baby pram. I only wish you could get these today. Both of the pictures are well perserved and are priceless.
