This is a photo of my great grandparents and their fur factory in the Bronx, New York. Peter Ulrich Riess (in the background on the left)Â came to New York from Leipzig, Germany in 1880 as a furrier and built a place on what is now the Bronx River Parkway. He met and married Ernestine Liedke from Kreis Lipno, Prussia (young lady on left). This photo would be from around 1907.
