We all have roles to play in our lives. We all start as children. Some of us go on to become parents, and later hope to become grandparents. How often do grandchildren stop to ponder the meaning of their bond with their grandmother or grandfather?
Writer and director Luke Taylor recognized the unique relationship between grandparent and grandchild, specifically his relationship with his Nan.
Luke told us, “The concept for Nan came from looking at the relationship I have with my grandma. Over the last few years, we have been researching our family tree together on Ancestry, and the stories we uncovered were incredible, giving us both a better understanding of who we are.”
Produced by Rosie Jones, Nan is a short film that shows the bond between a nan and her grandson. This short film explores the beautiful relationship between two people, but most importantly the things we learn from our elders that are subconsciously passed on through the generations. Watch it now:
