Help please.

Syncing was done automatically and worked well

Several bugs still remain so I recommend waiting before purchasing.

When adding a new person in ftm3 it takes just under five minutes to add it as the program goes into a long think and you can’t cancel the process….you must wait for it to complete. Also….adding text in the description box hangs quite often so a simple word may take a minute or two to be added. It also crashes once or twice per hour.
I contacted tech support about it but they said that these are known issues and that the developer will be offering a “patch” to fix the bugs. They’ve been working on the patch for a few weeks but they could not give an anticipated date of release. I’d wait to buy until the issues are resolved.

First, it is slower, for example if I enter a date, I then have to wait several seconds before I can go to the next line and enter a place. 2nd problem, and this is bigger, is that I don’t have an option when importing a media file to have it copied to my media folder. So if I then delete it from my desktop, or wherever I may have had it temporarily, it is then gone forever. Ftm for Mac 2 would let me copy it into my media folder.
Also I upgraded for the sole reason of having better options for working with my media items and I don’t see any improvements at all. Is there a place to watch tutorials on a better way to work with media?

Purchased Family Tree Maker for Mac 3 and the back-up CD on December 21, 2013.
1/10/14 had not yet received the CD; called and was informed the CD was at that time on backorder, and would be shipped via 2nd day air.
1/24/14 Received FTM not FTM for Mac CD. Called & received apology for error in sending wrong CD. Was promised correct CD would be sent immediately and should be received within 3-5 business days.
2/4/14 STILL NO RECEIPT OF PAID FOR CD. Called again. Was told they saw all previous conversations, and there was no evidence of order shipping. Promised to send out 2nd day. I requested a copy of the new FTM for Mac Manual as compensation for the previous errors made by Nova Development. I was told this was not permitted. I was then told my order was shipped out via Fed-X yesterday, that the CD was on backorder. I told her that did not make sense, that I was told on 1/24 it was in stock and I would have it in 3-5 business days. I requested to speak with the supervisor, was told he was in a meeting and not available, but would call later; but no manual would be sent. NOVA DEVELOPMENT has no problem with selling, but is unwilling to give good customer service. This is ridiculous….. Placed order 12/21/13 now three calls and still no product!!! I have NEVER experienced customer service this poor!

In this case, you can choose whether or not you want to uninstall Family Tree Maker for Mac 2. With Family Tree Maker for Mac 3, you can open the program and the program should automatically recognize the local tree files on your computer and ask if you’d like to import them to Family Tree Maker for Mac 3.

Now I have 2 versions of FTM. I thought when I downloaded the upgrade that all my information would go on the new version. I am not sure what to do now.
