when in the Y-DNA group there is a menu at the top and one of the options is to Compare DNA. When I click on it I get an error message saying sorry cant find the group and yet there are definitely two of us that have our Y-DNA posted and both have joined the Hempstead Jackson Group? What am I doing wrong?

I am interested in traceing my wife's and my ancestry. What do you advise as a method to do this.

Why is it not possible to trace paternal DNA in a woman? Even though we do not have Y chromosomes, we have DNA. Do we get half our genes from each parent? So, why can't you tell me anything about my father's side of the family?
